Message from the Chairman of the Board

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم،

the city of Medina is not just a city of global religious and historical significance, but it is also today a promising space for organizing events, exhibitions, conferences, and community initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life, enhancing belonging to the place, and opening new pathways for economic and social development. With this momentum of opportunities, there is a clear need for a specialized civil entity that works systematically to organize, develop, and empower those involved in this effort.

From here camethe Ruwad Association for Community Initiatives and Eventsas a non-profit civil association, specialized in developing the exhibition and conference sector and creating community events in Medina, to fill a real gap in the scene; a gap that represents the need for a professional entity that combines understanding the local context of the city with a commitment to global standards in planning, organizing, and measuring impact.

The association relies on scientific methodologies in project management and event production, and bases its programs on data, studies, and analysis, not just individual effort. We view the event not as a separate activity, but as a link in an integrated system:

  • starting fromdiagnosing community needs،

  • thendesigning the event or initiativeto suit the target group,

  • thenimplementing and operating itaccording to clear quality and safety standards,

  • and ending withmeasuring impact and drawing lessonsto develop future versions.

The association operates through several main pathways, the most important of which are:

  • organizing and managing events, conferences, and exhibitions with a community and professional dimension.

  • providing specialized qualification and training programs.تأهيل وتدريب متخصصةIn the event industry, to build national capacities capable of managing this sector professionally.

  • ImplementationStudies and researchon the reality of events in Medina, and making their results available to decision-makers and partner entities.

  • Building strategic partnerships with government entities, the private sector, and the non-profit sector, to enhance integration and exchange of experiences.

  • Empowering volunteers and youth to actively participate in the operation of events, within an organized environment with clear rights and duties.

The Ruwwad Association is also committed to the highest standards of governance, disclosure, and transparency, based on its belief that community trust is not built on slogans, but rather through clear policies, regular reporting, and respect for the regulations and instructions governing the work of the non-profit sector and the events sector in the Kingdom.

The establishment of this association is a practical response to the need of Medina for a specialized entity in the event industry, capable of transforming individual ideas and initiatives into institutional programs and events with a sustainable social and economic impact, consistent with the targets ofSaudi Vision 2030in building a vibrant community, a prosperous economy, and an effective non-profit sector.

As the Chairman of the Board, I affirm that the Ruwwad Association is open to collaboration with anyone who shares our belief in the importance of this sector; from government entities, private institutions, civil society organizations, volunteer groups, and individuals who have the passion and willingness to participate in creating events that elevate the city and its people and visitors.

And God is the Grantor of success,
